Meet the people behind the movement.
Chief Executive Officer
"How do we best serve those who have selflessly served our country, and ensure their invisible wounds are diagnosed, treated, and ultimately prevented? As the parent of a Navy SEAL and a compassionate friend to warriors, veterans, and family members within the SOF community, we MUST find ways to provide them with the exceptional quality of care they so greatly deserve. ”

“It all started around a kitchen table. I was asked to lend my talents to this organization as an early start-up and it was an immediate yes. In part because my own father and grandfather served, but also because it’s an honor to give back to our country’s military.”

“Around 2010, suicide was still a relatively unknown phenomenon in special operations. Seeing the numbers emerge during my time as Commander of Naval Special Warfare triggered a call to action for me to join the fight for brain health and addressing invisible wounds.”

“I believe in a simple principle – that those who sacrifice the most for our country deserve the best medical care possible. But more than that, we owe it to every service member who ever developed symptoms and were told ‘it’s all in your head’. We must ensure that this never happens again.”

“To be on the board is a blessing. Just two days prior to Shannon asking me to join, my best friend in the whole world took his life. When Shannon reached out, it felt like the universe was speaking to me, and it’s been an absolute honor to serve this community ever since.”

“After meeting Andrew and Shannon I was immediately drawn to the organization. Beyond having worked extensively in nonprofit and strategic planning, I’ve also personally had a close friend lose his father, a veteran of the Afghanistan conflict, to suicide.”
